The Anvik River Lodge is the only fishing lodge on the Anvik River. We are located 400 miles northwest of Anchorage off the Yukon River. The village of Anvik is our closest neighbor and is about 65 miles away. Home to Alaska's oldest Episcopal church, Anvik also has a small museum with artifacts from the area's Athabascan, Russian, and Alaskan history.

There is no "combat fishing" at the Anvik River Lodge. The remoteness is in itself a truly awesome experience. You are part of nature when you stay at the Anvik River Lodge.

From the map above you can see proximity to the many National Parks in the area.

"I caught pike, grayling, char and silver salmon during my visit, but saw no other anglers or boats. I did, however see four wolves out in the open and at close range"
- Tony Route, author of Fly Fishing Alaska and Flies for Alaska

HOW TO GET HERE

Our packages are all inclusive from Anchorage.  That means you just need to get yourself to Anchorage in time to meet our privately chartered flight to Anvik.  We'll take care of you from there.  You'll depart Anchorage to Anvik about 10:00 a.m. aboard our private airplane charter. In Anvik you will be met by our agent who will transport you and your gear to the shores of the Yukon where your guides will bring you on an extremely comfortable jet boat ride to the lodge.  Be sure to watch for moose, bears, wolves and other wildlife along the way.  On your departure day you will be back in Anchorage by about 3:00 p.m
